NOTICE TO BIDDERS ROSS TOWNSHIP OF ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA Sealed Proposals will be received by Ross Township at the Municipal Building, 1000 Ross Municipal Drive, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania 15237 until 10:00 a.m. prevailing time on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 for: 2016 ROSS TOWNSHIP ROAD PROGRAM Base Bid Includes the Pavement Maintenance on various roads throughout the Township including the following approximate quantities: 56,190 SY of Rotomilling, 7,900 TON of 19mm Superpave Binder, 180 TON of 4" 25mm Superpave Binder, 56,940 SY of 1.5" 9.5 0-0.3 ESALS, 46,300 LF of Bituminous Wedge Curb, 100 SY of Base Repair, 10 EA Manhole/Inlet Adjustments, 100 LF of Rain Conductor, 10 EA ADA Handicap Ramps, 7 EA of Concrete Wheel Stop, Traffic Loop, Line Striping, Traffic Control, Resident Notification and Restoration. Add Alternate Bid No. 1 The Roadway Millings shall be kept by the Contractor. Add Alternate Bid No. 2 Application of Double Seal Coating on various alleys which includes approximately 7,000 SY of Double Seal Coating, Traffic Control, Resident Notification, Preparation and Cleanup. Alternate Bid No. 1 The contractor shall use ID-2 Binder and Wearing material in lieu of Superpave. All bidders shall be PennDOT pre-qualified and submit their PennDOT Pre-Qualification Certificates as well as the Anti-Collusion Affidavit with the Proposal in order for the Proposal to be considered responsive. Copies of Drawings, Specifications, Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Forms of Proposals and Agreement are on file and open to public inspection at the office of The Gateway Engineers, Inc., 400 Holiday Drive, Suite 300, Pittsburgh, PA 15220 where sets of said documents may be obtained upon payment of $50.00 per set. No refund will be made for the return of any documents. An additional $10.00 will be required for each set of plans if they are to be mailed. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman's Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreement. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on this contract.
