O F F I C I A L WILKINSBURG-PENN JOINT WATER AUTHORITY A D V E R T I S E M E N T F O R B I D S Notice is hereby given that separate and sealed proposals will be received by the Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority, Allegheny County, PA for the following project: CLIFF STREET WATERLINE REPLACEMENT Copies of Information for Bidders, Contract, Form of Proposal and Bid Forms, Plans and Specifications may be examined or obtained for bidding purposes from GLENN ENGINEERING & ASSOCIATES, LTD., 14920 Lincoln Highway (Route 30), North Huntingdon, PA 15642. Plans are available for a non-refundable fee of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). Requests for mailing will be honored for an additional Ten Dollars ($10.00). Additional information may be found at glennengr.com. NO Documents will be issued within 48 hours of the scheduled bid opening. Sealed proposals will be received by the Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM week days at the Authority Office, 2200 Robinson Boulevard; Pittsburgh, PA 15221. The scheduled bid opening is SEPTEMBER 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM prevailing time. All proposals must be clearly marked with the name of the project as it appears above. Each contract shall be subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of August 15, 1961, P.L. 987, as amended 43 P.S. section 165 et. Seq. Workers shall not be paid less than the prevailing minimum wages as set forth in the applicable schedule. A Pre-Bid Meeting will occur on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Western and Bessemer Avenue, in the Borough of East Pittsburgh. All bidders must submit a bid bond in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check, or other form of negotiable instrument which is guaranteed by a commercial bank. Bid bond must be drawn to the order of Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority in the sum of 10% of the total bid and must be submitted with the proposal. The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any form of a bid bond which, in the sole opinion of the Authority, does not provide sufficient security for the bid. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any portion of any bid, waiver informality or irregularity of any bid or in the bidding and/or negotiate with the receipt of bids. The Authority reserves the right to increase or decrease any or all quantities. No bid will be accepted after the time herein specified whether or not the bidder has a time other than the official Authority time. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. NICK BIANCHI Executive Director
