SECTION 00 1110 INVITATION FOR BIDS Sealed, separate bids will be received for the Valley Jr/Sr High School - Entrance Modifications to the attention of the Board Secretary, Audrey Sleigh, New Kensington-Arnold School District, Administrative Offices, 707 Stevenson Boulevard, New Kensington, PA 15068 on or before 10:00 a.m., prevailing time, Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at which time bids will be publicly opened and read. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids shall be on a lump sum basis. Segregated bids will not be accepted. Sealed Bids must be marked Valley Jr/Sr High School- Entrance Modifications- General Construction. Copies of the Bid Documents may be obtained upon receipt of a check or money order in the amount of seventy-five dollars ($75.00) payable to Canzian/Johnston & Associates, LLC 361 Main St., New Kensington, PA 15068. An amount of Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) shall be refunded upon return of bidding Documents, in good condition, as determined solely by Architect, within thirty (30) days. Free examination of bid documents is available at the Architect office and Pittsburgh Builders Exchange. Neither the District nor Architect assume any responsibility for delay or loss due to mailing. All bidders are responsible for checking with the Architect or District regarding number of addenda sent out prior to bid. A Pre-Bid conference is scheduled for September 10, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Valley Jr/Sr High School. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the New Kensington-Arnold School District, U.S. Government Bond or a satisfaction bid bond executed by acceptable sureties (published in Dep. of Treasury Circular 570 and licensed to do business in Pennsylvania), in an equal amount to ten percent (10%) of the bids, shall be submitted with each bid. The Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and waive informalities. No bid shall be withdrawn within sixty (60) days subsequent to the bid opening.
