ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID The Township of South Strabane will receive sealed bids for renovations to the existing Township of South Strabane Municipal Building, located at 550 Washington Road, Washington, PA 15301, until 2:00 pm, Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at the Township of South Strabane Municipal Offices, located at 550 Washington Road, Washington, PA 15301. Bids will be publicly opened and read at a bid opening immediately thereafter, at the Township of South Strabane Public Meeting Room located in the Township Municipal Building. All bids must be submitted to the attention of John Stickle, Township Manager, and marked "Township of South Strabane Municipal Building Renovations" and for which contract the proposal is being submitted. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a certified check or bidder's bond from a surety company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the "Township of South Strabane", in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the proposal. All Bidders shall be required to submit with their bid a completed AIA Document A305-1986 Contractor Qualification Statement. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the Municipal Building at 10:00 am on Tuesday, September 1, 2015. Sealed Bids will be received for the following contracts: 1. General Trades Construction Contract (Roof replacement and masonry work) 2. HVAC Construction Contract (Replacement of 4 HVAC Units) All bids must be on a lump sum basis; segregated bids will not be accepted. Bidders shall be responsible for verifying all addenda prior to submitting bid. Failure to acknowledge receipt of addenda may result in disqualification of bid. The Bid Document Package - The Drawings and Specifications will be available, starting Wednesday, August 26, 2015, for a non-refundable fee, by contacting Accu-Copy Reprographics, (724) 935-7055. The Contractor, within ten (10) days after the date the Contractor is notified of the Contract award, will be required to furnish a faithful Performance bond in the amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum and a Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum. The Township of South Strabane reserves the right to waive any information or to reject any or all bids and to enter into such a contract as may be deemed in the best interest of Township of South Strabane.
