DOCUMENT 00 11 16 INVITATION TO BID The Western Area Career and Technology Center, 688 Western Avenue, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 15317, will receive sealed bids, appropriately identified, for the following: Educational Manufacturing Complex: Project No. LS 15-17, Phase 2 - Weld Shop Fume Exhaust & Crane Equipment, Western Area Career and Technology Center, 688 Western Avenue, Canonsburg, Pennsylvania 15317 until 2:00 P.M., on Tuesday, 10 May 2016, in the Career Center Administration Offices. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Each bid shall be made upon the form provided by the Architect/Engineer and shall be accompanied by a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of ten percent of the proposed contract amount. No bid may be withdrawn after bids are opened for the period of time stated on the bid form. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive irregularities in the bid. Bid Documents may be obtained from Accu-Copy Reprographics, 302 Thomson Park Drive, Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania 16066, 724-935-7055. Refundable deposits of $100.00 per set, for a maximum of two sets, are required, and must be in the form of a corporate, or business check made payable to the "Western Area Career and Technology Center", which shall be sent to the printer. Quantities over two sets must be purchased directly from the printer. This Project has the following separate prime construction contract: HVAC Construction Deposits will be refunded if: (1) a bid is tendered, or the intent to withdraw is given at least 48 hours prior to bid opening; and (2) if complete sets of Bid Documents (including addenda) are returned to the Architect/Engineer (at the above address), in good (reusable) condition, within fourteen calendar days after bids are opened, or as directed by the Architect/Engineer. Bidders are encouraged to visit the project site and examine the areas involved. Bidders may visit the site on weekdays from 8:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M., provided advance request, 24-hour notice, is made.
