BETHEL PARK MUNICIPAL AUTHORITY ALLEGHENY COUNTY, PA NOTICE OF BIDS Public notice is hereby given that the Bethel Park Municipal Authority will receive sealed bids at the Municipal Building, 5100 West Library Road, Bethel Park, PA 15102 on February 23, 2016 at 2 P.M., prevailing time for the lining of approximately 25,200 linear feet of 8-inch diameter sanitary sewer; open cut repairs and service replacements; grouting of lateral connections, manhole rehabilitation and all required restoration work under the following Contracts: CONTRACT NO. 2016-01: CLIFTON AND KINGS SCHOOL AREA SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION CONTRACT NO. 2016-02: CLIFTON AND KINGS SCHOOL AREA LATERAL GROUTING CONTRACT NO. 2016-03: CLIFTON AND KINGS SCHOOL AREA MANHOLE REHABILITATION Contract documents and specifications are on file at the office of the Bethel Park Municipal Authority and at the office of Chester Engineers, 1555 Coraopolis Heights Road, Moon Township PA, 15108. Bids may not qualify any of the specifications. The bids must be delivered in a sealed envelope to the Bethel Park Municipal Authority, at the above address and shall be clearly marked as described in the Information for Bidders section. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud immediately after bid closing. Copies of the plans and specifications for this Contract may be purchased for One Hundred twenty five dollars ($125.00) per set, nonrefundable, from Chester Engineers. A certified check payable to the Bethel Park Municipal Authority or a bid bond on the bid form executed by the Bidder and a surety company approved by the Owner, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid, to guarantee the Bidder's entrance into a contract if given the award. No bid bond shall be waived or returned because the Bidder has failed to or cannot comply with any requirements as set forth in the plans, specifications, or any applicable statutes of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States of America or any applicable municipal ordinances. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) calendar days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. Work under this contract is subject to the Requirements of the "Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act" (1861 August 15, PL 987; P.S. 165) as amended. If requested by the Owner, all Contractors submitting bids may be required to submit a listing of past experience of similar work verifying themselves as qualified for this type of project.
