DOCUMENT 00 01 50 ADVERTISEMENT FOR BID Project # MA 1507 Paving Replacement, Upper St. Clair School District, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241 Architect McLean Architects, 809 Bingham Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15203, Phone: (412) 381-3300 Project # MA 1508 Turf Replacement, Upper St. Clair High School, 1825 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241 Date: January 29, 2016 The Upper St. Clair School District will receive sealed bids for two separate projects: Project # MA 1507: General Contract for paving replacement, including driveways and parking areas located at Streams Elementary School and Upper St. Clair High School. Work includes, but is not limited to, milling and repaving of existing asphalt paved surfaces, removal of existing paving and curbs, and installation of new asphalt paving and concrete walks. Work will also include repair and seeding of any adjacent lawn areas disturbed during the work. Project # MA 1508: General Contract for the synthetic turf replacement at Upper St. Clair High School Stadium. Work includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing synthetic turf, refurbishment of existing stone base, and installation of new synthetic athletic turf. Work also includes removal of existing asphalt paving base under a portion of the existing installation and installation of new stone base and drainage components. Contract work includes removal and reinstallation of existing goalposts. The Upper St. Clair School District will receive sealed Bids until 10:00 a.m. prevailing time, Tuesday, February 16, 2016 in the Office of Ms. Frosina Cordisco, Upper St. Clair School District, 1820 McLaughlin Run Road, Upper St. Clair, PA 15241, where they will be stamped with the time and date. Bids received after that time will not be accepted. Bids will be opened and read aloud shortly thereafter. Bids shall be delivered in a sealed envelope and clearly marked on the outside with the words "Paving Replacement" or "Turf Replacement". Bids will be on a lump sum basis; award will be made based on the low base bid plus or minus any alternates. Segregated bids will not be accepted. Work will commence on a written "Notice to Proceed" (NTP) from the Owner or his representative, and will be substantially complete no later than JULY 22, 2016. Copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained at McLean Architects upon payment of $75 per set for paper documents and $ 35 for PDF files on a CD. Bidding Documents will be sent upon receipt of payment. No refund will be made for the return of any documents. Faxed copies of checks are not acceptable. This Project is subject to Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the Bid and a Non-Collusive Affidavit must accompany each Bid. The Upper St. Clair School District reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any and all bids, alternates, or parts of bids.
